Recipe Creation Fail

With any recipe creation, alteration or improvement there are those times where you will flat out fail. I have learnt not to let the waste of money, time and effort sway my mood or hamper my inspiration to develop recipes because failure is a gift.

You can do all the research in the world and have expert advice as to why not to use the whole lemon in a lemon cake for example. BUT, until you try and fail you don’t know the taste, texture and effect the pith of a lemon will have on the end result.

With my desire to create, I am a seasonal / what I feel like cooking in the moment kind of developer. I cant simply work off a list of what I wish to feature on www.sliverandbite.com I need to feel the dish and pour that passion into its creation.

Let’s use this blog post as a therapeutic and learning tool. What failures have you had in the kitchen with a recipe?

Hi, my name is

Chris

Chris here from Sliver and Bite, I have been creating desserts for 4 years and recently started creating real time cooking tutorials on social media. I have always prided myself on creating authentic food with real ingredients. When learning to cook I found a gap in the market for real time cooking tutorials. I slow the process down so the viewer is able to cook along.
