About the Recipe

High protein triggers fullness spinach is high fibre and low calorie. So the reason you should pair the eggs with leafy greens is the good fats from the egg allows the vitamins to be absorbed by your body.

Just because eggs are a great source of the right fats and protein eat with caution as there is always too much good stuff. The safe limit is up to 2 eggs a day for a healthy adult, less for people with high cholesterol and type 2 diabetes.

Ingredients

Eggs

Spinach leaves

Preparation

  1. Bring a pot of water to the boil.

  1. Drop in the eggs with enough room for them to bob in the water.

  1. Boil to your preferred doneness,

    • 6 min = runny yolk and soft whites

    • 7 min = fully cooked white with a jammy centre

    • 10 min = fully bard boiled egg

    • 12 min hard yolk

NOTE: any longer than 12 min you will end up with a grey ring. This is called iron sulfide, not dangerous just unappealing.

  1. Dropped the eggs into ice water bath, this is important if you have a specific doneness, you are after. But also assist in easy pealing.

  1. After 15 min and on a tea towel in quick gentle bursts crack the whole exterior of the eggs and peel.

NOTE: it is easier to peel the eggs in the water bath (if you can stand the cold water) this makes it easier when water gets between the egg and shell.

  1. Enjoy now or within 4 days with some spinach.

Hi, my name is

Chris

Chris here from Sliver and Bite, I have been creating desserts for 4 years and recently started creating real time cooking tutorials on social media. I have always prided myself on creating authentic food with real ingredients. When learning to cook I found a gap in the market for real time cooking tutorials. I slow the process down so the viewer is able to cook along.
